Daily & Weekly Court Maintenance
- Courts will be ready for play by 8:00AM Daily
- Brush, Rake and Line all court surfaces.
- Clean floor of seating areas between the courts with wind blower.
- Wipe dry chairs and tables from any rain.
- Empty Trash from all court garbage cans, pick up any trash on or surrounding the courts
including old tennis balls, etc - Check and adjust court clocks
- Look under net and spread and build up clay.
- Remove clay build up at perimeters of courts.
- Spray weeds and algae on court surface and perimeters.
- Wipe tops of nets clean from algae.
- Clean algae and mold on and around the perimeters of the courts.
Top Dressing
- Turn off the watering system and allow the court to dry out for 2-3 days.
- Scarify the entire court surface using a tow scarifier, Court Devil or lute.
- Patch low areas.
- Apply court surfacing material using a spreader.
- Level the material using a straight edge, usually a ladder.
- Hand water and roll the court.
Top Dressing w/Lines
- Turn off the watering system and allow the court to dry out for 2-3 days.

- Apply court surfacing material using a spreader.
- Level the material using a straight edge, usually a ladder.
- Hand water and roll the court.
- Remove and replace the line tapes.
Resurfacing
In a "laser-tapered" resurfacing, laser guided grading equipment is used to remove excess material at the low end of the court and to add new material at the high end of the court. This process restores the proper court slope and 1" surface depth of Har-Tru material.
- Remove existing line tapes
- Scarify and remove excess material at low end of the courts using laser-guided grading equipment
- Apply 5-30 tons of Har-Tru surfacing material using laser-guided grading equipment, restoring 1" surface depth and 1" in 30' slope
- Water and roll court to initial firmness
- Install new line tapes
Bocce & Pickleball
- After play and before watering, brush the surface using a drag broom
- Water the court thoroughly and uniformly to keep the court stable and to eliminate dust.
- Roll the surface as needed, particularly on new courts.
- Patching. A bocce court will develop depressions or low areas over time in certain high play areas.
- Top Dressing. Bocce courts will lose material over time due to the effects of watering, wind, rain, and play.
